Until now, VDOJar mainly ran on an ad-based model. Going forward, we are expanding this to give filmmakers better and more flexible ways to earn from their content.
Now you can choose how you want to monetize your content on VDOJar. We have defined three categories — you can place your content in one of them:
Your content is available for free to all VDOJar viewers, supported by ads. Lower deployment fees, and you still earn based on watch-time. Great for building an audience and maximizing reach.

For web series, the total duration of all episodes combined is used to determine your tier.
The more views your content gets, the more you earn per 120 minutes of watch-time. Tiers are based on your content's total monthly views.

How payouts work: View counts follow the calendar month (1st to end of month) and reset on the 1st. We recommend releasing your content at the start of the month for maximum first-month visibility. Payouts are made at the end of the following month.
Let viewers rent your content for a limited period. You set the price, and earn a share of every rental. Available alongside premium or free deployment.

Why the difference? Apple charges 30% on all in-app purchases. VDOJar keeps 30% of the remaining amount. On non-Apple platforms, there is no intermediary fee, so you keep 70%.
Rent-out content follows the same deployment fee structure as Premium content.
